What happened to Ridge? In the 3 short years that I went there ridge snowballed down Mt. Everest, then good ol’ Dick Stotler got a his SS officers and rolled it back up and dropped it down again. Last I checked the point of a school is to educate students and pave way to a generation of students who are beneficial to the American society. Apparently not, I think we all have noticed that the goal of the administration is to send as many students to Yale that they can. But there is a spin on there goal, they only want to send kids that they see fit to go to Yale. Everyone else is a waste of teaching time and need to be removed immediately. Anyone with a C or lower on their report card is a criminal and needs to be punished no matter what. Anyone who ever gets in trouble or makes a mistake even once is deemed as a plague to Ridge’s perfect image. Ridge is no longer a public school; it could be called a segregated school run by bigots and blatant idiots. The administration doesn’t see eye to eye with students they look down on them. So now who do we point the finger at? Yes there is finger pointing here as in any unfair situation. Well who then? Parents? Kids? Teachers? Social Pressure? All laughable targets, we all know who is to blame here, the Ridge administration. Stotler and his goons are out to screw students who can’t uphold an AP class. Since we don’t really want to hear how well Stotler treats his puppets in AP classes I tell everyone how he works at screwing everyone else. Yes you’re not the only one who got dicked over by the Dick him self. I’ll start this whole explanation off with a quote “Yeah well unfortunately all they (Dick and his goons) care about here is AP students.” Now before you brush this quote off and think to your self its some bullshit that a student said you’re wrong. This was said a teacher at Ridge Kara Wachtler, an in-class support teacher who actually cares about students. I was told these three weeks before I was on the list to be kicked out of Ridge. Now explain to me how is this fair? It isn’t at all there is no explanation to how it is fair because it isn’t. One incident that got me especially pissed didn’t even happen to me. It happened to my friend who will remain nameless under his request. “I was in math class the first 2 days of school and Mrs. Huntington was the teacher. She issued me a book the first day and everything. So anyways to make a long story short she wrote me up for cutting class. I was like what are you talking about I didn’t cut class I was there, here is the book to prove it. So they had a big meeting with Stotler, Mrs. Duseboutt, Thompson, and a bunch of other people basically the whole administration. And she (Mrs. Huntington) basically flat out lied in front of my face. I told them to ask the kids in the class but Stotler said it wouldn’t be fair to get other students involved in the situation, Yeah bullshit. I ended up just saying fuck you Stotler and slamming the door shut to the office” Now it seems to me that that was a setup to kick a student out because they didn’t like his image in Ridge, it didn’t meet Stotler’s standards. His grades were low there fore we kick him out. So now you sit there and ask your self “Why didn’t he do anything about it” Well the thing is he couldn’t. Ridge is byist in the teacher’s favor, obviously. This is one of many examples I could sit here and give the countless ones that come to mind but I’ll get to my point. Ridge is our school not the administration’s, we control what happens in the school. Clubs, sports, achievements, history, their job isn’t to get students in trouble it is to teach. Not only to teach math English science and so on, it is to teach how to live life, how to be a good person. I don’t see how doing dirt-bag moves like that is teaching us anything positive at all. To avoid trouble in ridge you can’t be friends with cretin people because once you are labeled you are on the shit list. This is only one subject of how Ridge administration is scum bags. Another (out of many) is the school budget and how it is handled. The current budget is 64 million dollars, recently there was a budget cut which was voted on by the people of Basking Ridge who pay ridicules amounts of money to uphold that budget. The cut was 750,000 dollars and at a town meeting parents were raging about how their kids wouldn’t get a good education because of it (which was totally irrelevant to funds, common I mean each class an extra set of books assuming they are roughly $50 each and there is 30 to a class that 1500 dollars spent of each class with extra books) so the township commit explained to the parents that it wouldn’t be cut out of any thing related to education. Now the law states that the boded of ed can have the final decision on where the money from the budget goes and they were all for cutting out some other unnecessary supplies (such as a gator for every janitor). But Stotler actually push for the Bored of Ed to cut it out of education related funds to uphold the image at Ridge of having a perfect (up class and rich) looking school. That kind of weird isn’t it, how no one heard about that little detail. Ridge is now planning a 14 million dollar expansion on the school. That awesome right, more room. Nope, wrong, it is to build a preschool on Ridge. Still after that perfect image Stotler? Because a preschool is just what we need at ridge. Not more class rooms and teachers or anything like that right? Ridge is system full of sleazy dirt bags and lying bigots. Let is be known, once exposed these scum bags will be weeded out and Ridge may once again be ours.
